The Times of India (Chandigarh) -Inspiring women icons honoured

The Times of India, in association with PC Jeweller, powered by Good Time Venture and co-sponsored by National Health Mission, organised `Times Women Achievers of J&K 2017' function in Jammu on July 15, 2017, whereby 14 top women achievers of Jammu and Kashmir, who have done exceptional work in their respective domain, were felicitated by Assembly Speaker Kavinder Gupta

At a glittering function held in Jammu on July 15, 2017,The Times of India, in association with PC Jeweller, powered by Good Time Venture and co-sponsored by National Health Mission, felicitated the top women achievers of Jammu and Kashmir, thereby recognising their efforts in their respective fields.The event,Times Women Achievers of J&K 2017, was organised under the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign of the government. The jury of The Times of India had selected J&K's top 14 women, who have done exceptional work in their respective domain, which included varied fields like art and music, bureaucracy, education, sports, etc. and have become a role model for the youth of the country.The event was graced by the august presence of chief guest Kavinder Gupta, Speaker, J&K State Assembly, and guest of honour Mandeep Bhandari, divisional commissioner, Jammu.Kavinder Gupta and Mandeep Bhandari felicitated the women achievers and appreciated their efforts. The women achievers included Prof Kailash Mehra, Asha Khosa, Varuna Anand, Dr Shehnaz Ganai, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar IAS, Dr Twinkle Suri, Bilquis Mir, Shallu Gupta, Dr Anuradha Gupta, Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani KPS, Dr Parveen Akhter Lone, Devinder Kaur Madaan, Pallavi Singh and Dr Gurmeet Gujral.
