27th September 2019: Celebrating 25 years of its existence The Indian Federation of Women Entrepreneurs (FIWE) facilitated Women Entrepreneurs from across India by awarding them with the prestigious Priyadarshini Award at a glittering event held at The J.W. Marriot Hotel. Aerocity, New Delhi on 26th September 2019.

An award standing in celebration of outstanding and inspiring Women Entrepreneurs in their respective field of work.

The Award ceremony was the concluding event to the Indo-Afghan International trade and investment show, sponsored by the U.S. agency for International development USAID in partnership with the Government of India and the Government of Afghanistan.

Varuna Anand, Proprietor The Splendor of Kashmir was among 14 Women Entrepreneurs from across India who was facilitated with this award, as an outstanding Women Entrepreneur. These awards are a source of encouragement to Women for the tireless efforts in building their business and setting themselves as role models for so many more women to come forward and pursue their dreams & ambitions.

The awards were given by Smt. Stuti Narayan Kacker, Ex Secretary Ministry of Women and Child, Govt. of India, who was the Chief Guest at the function, Dr. Rajni Sehgal, president of FIWE, Dr. Sharad K Kohli, Founder & Chairman KCC Group & Ms. Tina Dooley Jones from USAID.

Laying stress on the role of women in society and emphasising on the need of enhancing the status of women in society the dignitaries said that women have a special ability to manage successfully both their work and families. They are more passionate with all what they do and in today’s mechanised world it is very important to execute work not just with our minds alone but thinking with our hearts add a humane touch which is an integral ingredient for growth.
